“We Decided to Do More.”

Milton District Hospital Foundation was delighted to receive a $50,000 donation from 407 ETR last year.  At the beginning of the pandemic, the company generously donated gift cards for free 407 ETR travel for hospital staff who continued to commute to work.  However, as Javier Tamargo, President and CEO explains, “We decided to do more.  After the gift cards for hospital staff, we decided to make a monetary donation to the COVID relief fund, so the hospital (along with 23 other GTA-based hospitals) could determine where funding was most needed at the time.  Supporting hospitals and rehabilitation centres has been a fundamental part of 407 ETR’s $5.2 million Road to Recovery campaign.  We’re forever grateful for the contributions of health care professionals working in the communities we serve – especially during the pandemic.”

Andrea Cayer, Associate Director, Development and Major Gifts is grateful because of the impact that this donation will have on Milton District Hospital.  “I can’t overemphasize how much our hospital appreciates the support of 407 ETR, especially during this challenging time.  This gift has allowed our hospital to purchase the equipment needed to continue providing exemplary care to all patients throughout the pandemic and beyond.”
