“They Made Me Feel Better.”

In early March, Logan Robinson was snowboarding when he fell on his wrist.  The ski patrol called his parents and recommended that they bring him to the hospital.  When Logan arrived at the Emergency Department at Milton District Hospital, his wrist was swollen and numb.  He was taken to get x-rays which confirmed that his wrist was broken.  At that point, the nurse set his wrist and put on a temporary cast.  Logan says, “I liked that the nurse was talking to me and laughing with me.  It distracted me from the pain and it made me feel better.”  This was Logan’s first injury that required hospital treatment.  Logan’s mom, Melanie is thankful that it was such a good experience for him.  She says, “In the future, he’ll always have this visit as a baseline to what it’s like at the Milton District Hospital.  He also knows that it’s nothing to fear.  Logan has aspirations of becoming a brain surgeon.  He may have some hospital hours in his future!”
