“The Whole Experience Was Amazing.”

Staci James has been supporting Milton District Hospital Foundation for many years as a Committee member of the Black and White Pajama Party.  Through her volunteer work, she had an opportunity to take a tour of Milton District Hospital, which included the Maternal Newborn Department.  It was this tour that made her decide to have her baby here at MDH.  Staci came to the hospital when she was in labour and was immediately admitted. After twelve hours, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl, who she named Arienna.  Staci and her new daughter were discharged two days later and came home to their family.  She appreciated the compassionate care that she received.  She says, “As a first time mother, I was scared and emotional because I didn’t know what to expect.  The physicians and nurses in the Maternal Newborn Department made me feel supported and they taught me what I needed to know in the first few days of caring for my baby.  The whole experience was amazing.”
