“I Felt Like My Health Was their Top Priority.” 

Sheila had been a dedicated volunteer for Milton District Hospital for more than 25 years when a core biopsy revealed that she had breast cancer.  She was alarmed but also confident that she would receive excellent care at MDH.  Approximately one month after receiving her diagnosis, Sheila had a double mastectomy and as soon as she felt that she had recovered from her surgery, she was right back to volunteering at the Hospital.    When Sheila reflects on her experience, she says, “The care that I received at Milton District Hospital was amazing.  They went beyond what I expected.  Everyone treated me with compassion and I felt like my health was their top priority.”
