Our Stories

Gratitude is Healing

It can be difficult to express gratitude to caregivers, staff or volunteers for the comfort, care and relief they provided while you or your family were a patient at MDH.  For this reason, we are introducing a program which will allow you to make a donation in honour of your Healthcare Hero.

Maybe it was a smile or a kind word that brought you or a loved one comfort.  Perhaps it was the life-saving procedure or treatment that made your experience at Milton District Hospital exemplary.

Every day our patients ask how they can share their appreciation in a meaningful way for the compassionate, expert care they receive at MDH.  When you donate through the Healthcare Hero’s program, we will share your gratitude with the individual along with a small token to recognize the outstanding care they provided.

Your contribution celebrates your caregivers and puts essential equipment in their hands to ensure other patients also receive exemplary care, always.

If you would like to honour your Healthcare Hero, please contact the Foundation office.

I am grateful to Dr. Khalid and his team for the compassionate care I received.  As soon as I arrived in Milton’s ER I was immediately put at ease.  As a patient it meant a lot to me that everyone listened to me and my concerns.  They made sure I had proper follow-up care so that I could get home as quickly as possible.
